Theo Wolters was born in 1955 as the last of eleven children in a musical family in Melick, a small town in the south of The Netherlands.

At a very young age, Theo started to learn the trumpet in a local windband, led by his father.
Soon was clear that young Theo had an enormous musical talent and so he was to study music at the Conservatory in Maastricht. There he started studying the trumpet under the reknown Wim Groot, former solo-trumpet of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.

Shostakovich 5th Symphony - a masterpiece, might be considered as a "mined fields" for everyone who presents it in concerts. All along the symphony, Theo Wolters recommended himself as to be an intelligent musician, who controlled the wild horses of the orchestra sections.
It was a high quality concert definitely to be placed among the most outstanding we could listen at the Transylvania Philharmonic Orchestra.

On this concert we were able to feel, that this Mahler First Symphony is very closed, and deep inside Theo Wolters heart. He has done this concert with great care, taking great consideration in asking from the orchestra very soft piano's, which sounded like soft breathing.
